Rivalries are a huge part of sports, and for Albany, the Saint Mary’s Panthers are our biggest rival. Three sports where it gets particularly intense are boys’ basketball, girls volleyball, and boys soccer.
Bill Treseler, the current Athletics Director (AD) and longtime basketball coach, has deep roots in Albany and in the coaching field. His career path took him to multiple top high schools, and even college programs across California.

Last Thursday, September 5th, Albany High School’s JV football team won their first game in almost two years. This game against St. Helena was closely followed by another September 13th against Northgate.
