The pug lovers’ guide to Halloween events of 2025
Zoey Osvald
This spooky season, the pug enthusiasts of the Bay Area celebrated their beloved dogs with many festivals and meetups in their honor.
The Pug Rescue of North California hosted its first-ever Pug-O-Ween on October 18 in Rohnert Park from 11 am to 4 pm, along with The Pug Hotel and Bay Area Pug Project. There were raffles, food vendors, activities, and a pie-eating contest (for the pugs). All profits support the three pug rescues hosting this event.
The Tiny Paws Pug Rescue had a pug-exclusive Halloween festival on October 25 from noon to 4 pm in Wildwood Park, Saratoga. Event goers enjoyed food trucks, live music, pug caricatures, games, vendors, and a costume contest.
The Pug Moms Club, one of the biggest pug communities in the area, hosted a Halloween pug meetup on October 26 at Biergarten in San Francisco at 1 pm. There were pugs in costume and pug merch available for purchase; this event was even free to attend.
The love for pugs was extensive this Halloween season; however, the pug events will not stop here, as these organizations have pug-oriented events year-round.
