2. HOT ITEMS ON THE AHS PTSA TONIGHT - 6:45 pm, AHS Library
Agenda! Freak Dancing — What should our dance rules be? What do
students and parents think about this dance behavior?
SchoolLoop — with SchoolLoop founder & President, Mark Gross — what
can the system do? Why sign up? How could it be tweaked?
Principal’s Report — Cougar Field & Pool update, Homecoming, Emergency
Update, Athletic Advisory Board
Add your voice!!

3. JUNIORS: Are you interested in representing student concerns related
to public schools? Ms. DiGiulio has applications available for those
interested in becoming a member of the State Board of Education for next
year. Drop a note in her mail box with your 2nd. Period room # and
she’ll send you an application.

4. Come out today and support your Women’s Tennis Team vs Encinal. Go
Lady Cougars

5. Reminder: The deadline for applications for PTSA Mini-grants is
October 16th. The application form is available on the school website
(on the PTSA page) or printed copies are available at the front office
counter. Turn in to the PTSA box at the front office.

6. Community Service Opportunity at Albany Preschool on Sat., Oct. 25,
8:30am to 12:30pm. Help serve food at a community potluck breakfast
fundraiser for the preschool. Attend a pizza meeting on Thurs., Oct. 23,
4-4:30pm. To volunteer, contact Megan at 525-6560, marooney@rocketmail.com

7. Today’s lunch menu: Burger, Pepperoni Pizza, Chef Salad & Chicken
Enchiladas

College/Career

1. College Visits This Week: Wed., 10/8, Vanderbilt, 8am; also Wed.,
Humboldt State, 1:45; Thurs., 10/9, USC, 8am in the Library.

2. Free Online SAT Test Prep is available to all students with an
Alameda County Library card. Go to www.aclibrary.org, click on Teens,
select Test Preparation, click on Learning Express Library, enter your
library card number, under Featured Resources click on College Entrance
Exams and scroll down to SAT Practice Tests and SAT Prep Course Series.

Clubs/Team Announcements

1. MODEL UN CLUB will meet Wednesday, Oct. 8 after school in Rm. 18.

2. CHAMBER MUSIC CLUB - TUESDAY - LUNCH - RM. 20

3. Sophomore t-shirts are being sold at lunchtime at the gym lobby. $10.
