Lady Cougars finish second in BSAL Tennis

On October 27, the Girls Tennis Team finished its BSAL season with a loss against eventual champion Piedmont. In league play the Cougar netters went 10 - 2, with their only losses to Piedmont. This season, the team crushed Saint Mary’s in both matches. Not only did the Girls Tennis team defeat one of its biggest rivals, but they also finished second overall in BSAL league play.

Two singles players, junior Elena Pan and senior Martha Vanbik, and two doubles teams – seniors Krystalline Armendariz and Lea Cohen and sophomore Elaine Fang and senior Jane Park – advanced to the BSAL playoffs on October 30. There, Elena Pan moved into the final round on October 31, where she repeated as BSAL singles champion, beating Kristie Biascan of St Patrick’s 2-6, 6-0, 7-5.
