Lady cougars crush the Monarchs

Freshman Diana Calhoun makes a layup look easyIf you looked at the scoreboard mid way through the 2nd quarter in Albany’s Monday night victory over Holy Names, you would think it was football not basketball. The Cougars were leading 24-0. They continued their dominance all game long as they won their fourth game in a row.

For Albany it was a very balanced attack. The Cannon twins, Crystal Peterson, and Tori Nicks were just a few of the many players that had great games for the Cougars.

After starting off 0-2, the Cougars are on a roll. They won the Anne Scott Tournament at Drake, and Monday’s victory was very convincing. They are 4-2 and look like a great basketball team.

Coming up, the Cougars go to Mill Valley to take on Tamapais High School on the 15th. League play starts December 18th, as Albany hosts Salesian.
