Juno: If you haven’t seen it already, it’s a must

JunoJuno was amazing. Ellen Page was absolutely incredible as Juno MacGuff and never failed to respond with some witty remark thanks to the incredible genius of screenwriter Diablo Cody, who, in parts, owes her talent to her days a pole dancer.

Michael Cera made me fall in love with him even more and I hope someday I can find a boy who’s addicted to Tic-Tacs to father my child. He’s the perfect blend of dorky and awkward and still manages to suave.

So for those who have yet to see Juno, you should, as soon as possible. That’s really the only thing I can think of to tell you. And those who’ve seen it already, what are you waiting for? See it again! How can you say “no” to a knocked up teen?

Page plays a high school junior who gets pregnant by her track-running best friend, Paulie Bleeker. Faced with a big decision she ends up finding the perfect couple in the Pennysaver (classified ads) and enters their strange married-life world. She struggles with growing bigger everyday and making adult decisions and always has a zinger response.

For one of the first times, I didn’t like Jason Bateman. To be totally honest, he was the biggest creeper ever. He was great at being a creeper, so if that was his intent, mission complete! Bateman played the husband of Jennifer Garner and slightly hit on Page as she innocently tried to get to know him. Garner plays a suburban housewife desperate for a child and a clean, orderly home.

I’m not the only one taking notice in the brilliance of Juno, it was nominated for four Oscars, including Best Achievement in Directing, Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.

Never has Sunny D, running track, hamburger phones and boysenberry condoms been so cool.

also, juno really wasnt a good movie. it did not make me chuckle, nor did it bring a tear to my eye. it was just another trying-too-hard-to-be-indie teen movie.
