Homecoming Monday - Twin Day

Our controversially drab school found itself festooned in pink senior propaganda this morning. Sometime between midnight last night and 7:40 this morning, a mischievous group of seniors met at the school and added the ornaments which included pink traffic cones, a large banner reading “08 Dominate!” and many pink helium balloons. Take that, majority of the school population!

Today’s theme was twin day and all the little boys and girls came in coordinated outfits replicating nerds, mountain climbers, bumble-bees and more. The festive mood was mixed with an attitude that can only be described as mortally competitive.

The canned food competition was close. In the atrium, the class of ’09 was leading with a bag full of cans and an “Annie’s Macaroni.” Tied for second were the classes of ’10 and ’11 with a brown paper bag full of stale chex mix, and a half-full bottle of passion fruit flavored vitamin water. The Seniors came in dead last with nothing.

In the P.E. lobby the seniors fared better with at least four cardboard food trays, a dollop of barbeque sauce, and some empty bottles. The rest of the donation cans in the lobby were too close to call, each containing a respectable amount of donations from our caring student body.

Keep up the good work Albany High School, there’s at least one person who has any compassion.
Also keep dressing fabulously.
