Block A Schedule
General
1. Come out and support the Men’s Soccer team in their first round NCS
game. Wednesday @ 5pm at Berkeley High.
2. Attention SENIORS: you have till Wednesday to come to the Main Office
to make any changes to your diploma name. After Wed., we will submit
names and you will no longer be able to make changes.
3. Valentine’s Gram on sale today and tomorrow at lunchtime in the
atrium for.75cents. Send a message to that special someone.
4. Senior Challenge Day sign-ups TODAY in the counseling office!!!
Sign-ups end Feb 14. You may only sign yourself up!
5. Otter Bowl Teams - Mandatory Team practice @ lunchtime and at 4:15pm
on Wednesday in Rm. 303. Be prompt!
6. FLI Alumni: please meet in Rm. 206 on Wednesday during lunch to
discuss upcoming event (the symposium) and learn how to stay involved.
7. Albany High Science Bowlers travel to National Finals in Washington
D.C. AHS has another Science team that has captured 1st place in its
region. The Wonder Cup and the Science Bowl. Albany Cougars were awarded
2 of the 4 trophies at the US Department of Energy’s Science Bowl on
Sat. Sponsored by SANDIA Labs and the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory.
Team Captain Eric Zhang, and Henry Yu, Benjii Kessler, Jaime Lincoff and
Peter Yao were awarded 4th place. Our #1 team includes Team Captain
Jackie Quinn, Ian Allen, Elise Cai, George Shan, and Bei He.
Congratulations and Good Luck in May!
College/Career
1. Free SAT prep class taught by UC Berkeley students starts this
Wednesday. If you are interested in signing up please see Ms Burns in
the Counseling Office. Priority will be given to juniors.
2. Hey Seniors interested in vocational classes at Laney College — last
chance to sign up for Laney College Vocational Day! We’ll be leaving at
9AM sharp from the WorkAbility office. Come see Ms. Pichler for a
permission slip. Lunch is included in the program. We’ll be back by 1PM.
There will be another field trip to Laney later in the spring, for all
types of classes and programs they offer, so if you miss this, you still
have another chance to tour Laney with your fellow AHS seniors.

1. Best Buddies Valentine’s Day Party -Today, Lunchtime, Room 219.
2. HAPA CLUB - TODAY - LUNCH - RM. 206 - re: ice skating trip this Saturday.
3. EARTH TEAM - WED. - LUNCH - RM. 312

1. Please excuse the Varsity Golf team @ 1:45pm today.
