Color War Day!
Every year during Homecoming, people look forward to representing their class to rack up points and, hopefully, win Homecoming. On Wednesday, October 8th, the epic color war took place. Yellow seniors, orange juniors, green sophomores, and the occasional pink freshman crowded the hallways, usually mingling with the other members of their class in order to intimidate others.
During break, a huge crowd of seniors, juniors, and sophomores stood beside each other on the cubes in the courtyard cheering for their class. But where were the freshmen? The lack of pink in this uproar of spirit left all participating classes with the reassurance that the class of 2012 was no longer a threat.
“Color war day is the most spirited day every year,” senior Kyle Kubler said. “I’m just glad that we have it back.” This statement reminds upper classmen of when color war day was banned during the fall of 2006 due to an enormous food fight that took place on the color war day the year prior.
In a tight battle, the seniors emerged victorious with 151 participants, followed by 127 for the juniors, 107 for the sophomores and 50 for the ninth grade.
