Boys lose to Kennedy; McKnight injured

Albany’s 54-73 loss against Kennedy proved to be a bigger disaster than a typical “L”. Although Albany held on tight the first half, Jahari McKnight’s injury in the second quarter dashed the team’s hopes for defeating the third place team in BSAL. The first half ended with Albany behind by only five points.

Nick Greco, who replaced the injured McKnight, said, “after losing our key guard, our team was determined to perform with all our might and take the lead.”

Unfortunately, Kennedy showed great improvement in the second half, and began to increase it lead. Kennedy dominated the second half, and Albany seemed to play with despair especially after losing their point guard. McKnight’s absence was felt strongly in Tuesday’s loss against Saint Mary’s, making their record 10 wins and 11 losses. The Albany team can only hope that McKnight’s return will be imminent.
